Feels good to find such a Forum of interest. I am a keen environmentalist. My site is dedicated to getting people to switch over to using more water than gas for driving their cars and running engines.

So finding this site is a good opportunity to find people of like minds who will help to reduce the harm being done to both mother earth and mankind.

I look forward to learning more about other green ideas in this great forum.

Thanks a lot Bruce, my name is Jackson.

Hi Jackson,

Thanks for joining. It's a brand new discussion board, so hopefully we'll get some more users soon.

I used to own 4 cars. Now I'm down to one. We're considering an electric vehicle conversion kit.

We're also adding solar panels and a windmill to our home power system to generate some bonus electricity.

I find that more and more people are interested in making positive changes, and that the benefits are many, not the least of which is a feeling that we're making a difference.

Hope to hear more from you.

Hello Guess i'm user number 3 on here! I'm john I am just getting started in getting green. My interest started when my electric bill seemed to be getting higher and higher every month. so i did a search on reducing it. I have never been accused of doing anything halfway so it snowballed into trying to completely rid myself of the need for non renewable energy sources as soon as possible even if i have to come up with some of the solutions on my own. The water for gas thing sounds pretty interesting. I worked with an old man about 15 years ago who had some sort of contraption that he built on his pickup truck that injected water into the motor and he swore it doubled his fuel economy. sadly I was a young man at the time and wasn't into saving the earth or even money for that matter so i didn't investigate it much, just looked at it under his hood once. well i'm rambling anyway hope to hear more about it ...John

Hi John,

Glad you dropped in. I'm on the same page with you regarding moving away from fossil fuels. I've been yammering at my various levels of government for a couple of years now, pushing for energy reforms.

And I'm glad that the whole bio-fuel fiasco is finally coming to terms with its own inefficiencies.

Why don't we kick some of this stuff around in some topic posts and see if we can attract some more users? I'm hoping it will be idea-driven, and not fall into doom and gloom or naysayer mudslinging. It's amazing when you read posts on grist or even youtube, where people have dug into their opposite views.
